| Antepo's Enterprise Instant Messaging Client
STRATEGY | INTERACTION DESIGN
In 2004 Antepo, Inc. hired me to redesign their enterprise instant messaging client, used internally by many financial companies and others requiring more security and accountability than the standard consumer IM clients (AIM, MSN Messenger, etc.). I first helped them strategize about how the product needed to evolve and grow in order to stay competitive, since now companies like Microsoft were starting to take note of them and adjust their sights accordingly. Next I helped them discuss and prioritize the proposed requirements, and when we settled on a final, phased list I started speccing everything out.
The spec ended up being almost 200 pages (below is an image of a dog-eared copy of it). Antepo was recently acquired by Adobe and is now a part of their larger plan.
