This article was part of a larger report on the informal organization, the everyday connections between people in workplaces that keep things running smoothly, or don't. This piece is about middle managers being key parts of the informal org by connecting people, and my gouache & ink drawings of "Frank" and his colleagues were meant to illustrate that.
