“Tiny Homes, Big Ideas,” The Oprah Winfrey Show, February 2007
This was quite an entertaining experience. Producers at the Oprah show decided to an episode on living in small spaces, and found us through the O at Home piece. Darko had enough of fame with that earlier photo shoot, so he left early for work the day they came to film in our apartment. I gave a little tour and thought that was that, but after a couple weeks they asked if I would come out to Chicago for the taping of the episode. It was very cool, they flew me out there, put me up in a very nice hotel with meal coupons, and sent a limo to bring me to the studios; they did the same for the other folks also in this show. My only complaint is that the stylist straightened my hair with an iron and (literally) airbrushed makeup on me, so I looked like I was made of plastic, hahaha.
